The New York Renaissance formed in 1923 as the first all-Black professional basketball team. Black players weren’t allowed into the NBA until 1950.

Ø ATTN ALL WINTER SPORT ATHLETES & CHEERLEADERS: The Winter Sports Awards will be held Wed. 3/7 @ 5:30pm. You may purchase your ASB sticker from Finance Office for $15, please have your current high school ID with you. The deadline to purchase your ASB sticker is Monday, 2/26. After that date, if you purchase ASB you will receive your award with spring athletes. Take care of this today so your award will be ordered in time for winter awards.

Ø ATTN ALL JR’S & SR’S: Prom is around the corner…and NOW is the time to clear up your money owed screen including any athletic equipment, all books must be returned to textbook room. Pay at the Finance Office window and please have your current school ID, before & after school or during your lunch.
Ø Attention SHE member: Please turn in any chocolate sale money to Mrs. Borden (finance office) Bring your receipts to Dr. Bowens in D-35 or Mrs. Castro in P114. We have many field trips for those who sold multiple boxes of chocolate, so turn your money in.
