Class of 2018
Mike Bull- The first state wrestling champion for the Central Section in 1973. The first year a state tournament was held. Completed a 40-0 run as a senior. |

Romain Cote- Taught shop classes for 37 years at South and coached baseball. He was a great teacher and role model. |

Fred Drew- Class of 1964. Received the Silver Star and four Bronze Stars. Retired from military with rank of Lieutenant Colonel. |

Helen “Tookie” Felton- Ole’ Miss graduate who started teaching at South High the second year of existence, 1958. When Helen (Tookie) Felton came to South she helped found the Rebelettes. |

Ramon Hendrix- South High graduate and former student body president who returned to South as an educator. Went on to become very popular Principal at Stockdale High and is currently the Superintendent of Greenfield School District. |

Carl January- Graduate 1973- First African American ASB president in school history. Received Presidential Appointment to United States Naval Academy from President Richard M. Nixon. Went on to distinguished 35 year career with the United States Postal Service. |

Jean Lloyd- Long time art teacher at South High. Strong advocate for the arts and for the students she coached in Cross Country. Jean made sure her kids got the recognition they deserved. |

Gerald Ogden-South High Graduate 1984 who played multiple sports while in high school. Gerald has given back to the South High community for several years as a sponsor of multiple events including Wild at Heart, a summer camp where he helps mentor our young student athletes every summer. |

Dr. James Sexton-South High graduate in the first graduating class of 1960. He has a distinguished career as an anthropologist doing research in Guatemala and other Latin American countries, and as Professor of Anthropology at Northern Arizona University. He is the author of more than six books. |

Jennifer (Caulderwood) Thurston -Class of 1985. Magistrate Judge Jennifer L. Thurston was appointed in 2009. One of the youngest people to be appointed at that time. |

1965 Valley Champion Wrestling- First Valley Championship wrestling team in school history. Featured 8 SYL individual Champions and 5 individual Valley Champions. |
