Did you know eating school breakfast fuels learning?  It’s true!  Students who eat school breakfast are more likely to reach higher levels of achievement in reading & math, and score higher on standardized tests.

Jazz singer and pianist Nat King Cole was the first African-American to have the number one song on the Billboard charts with his hit “Too Young.”

Ø  ATTN ALL JR’S & SR’S:  Prom is around the corner…and NOW is the time to clear up your money owed screen including any athletic equipment, all books must be returned to textbook room. Pay at the Finance Office window and please have your current school ID, before & after school or during your lunch.

Ø  SHS Relay for Life team is having a coin drive in your 6th per class! The class with the most donations collected will earn a pizza party.  Relay for Life Day is Friday! Come join our Rebels Fight Back team and pick up a Panda Express flyer so that 20% of your purchase on Friday will go to American Cancer Society.

Ø  Attention SHE members & Students: Come watch the L.A. Clippers play Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavs Fri, March 9 @ 7:30pm. See Dr. Bowens (D-35), cost is $80 per person, price includes a Clipper Duffel bag & a free throw shot in the Staples center.

Ø  Attention SHE members & Students: Come see the LA Dodgers on Opening Night play against S.F. Giants during Spring Break Fri, March 30th at 7:10pm. Please see Dr. Bowens in D-35. The cost is $80 per person in the all you can eat section!

Ø  Attention 10th & 11th graders: want to go to New York City and see the Statue of Liberty and a Broadway play next May? Then stop by Mr. Rothkopf’s room, D33, Tues., Feb. 27th during lunch. We’re limiting the trip to the first 20 students who show up so don’t delay.

Ø  ATTN ALL WINTER SPORT ATHLETES:  The awards dinner will be held March 7th beginning @ 5:30pm. In the cafeteria.
