Implementation Guidance Assessment, Spartans do it RIGHT

Throughout the 2020-2021 school year, South High School, along with many high schools throughout the nation, were faced with the challenges caused by Covid-19 of which included a majority of students attending class via distance learning. Despite the difficulties, South High strengthened and deepened their Spartans do it R.I.G.H.T. systems of support in order to help students do it RIGHT. Furthermore, as a result of distance learning, South High could not complete a formal TFI and instead, we participated in an Implementation Guidance Assessment (IGA) that provided further direction for our Spartans do it  R.I.G.H.T. system of support. The visiting team of TOSAs (Teachers On Special Assignment) that specialize in social and emotional learning were impressed with the depth and scope of our work. The comment was made that South developed a “Great use of inservices to review and share behavior expectations….[Spartans] news weekly broadcast, ….proactively modifying the distance learning Behavior Flow chart…..student voice collected through classes addressing issues… using the decision making model to action plan/document data based on T1 concerns.”
