After a long season, the senior night for our boys and girls wrestling teams occurred Tuesday, January 17th in the South High School gym. The seniors were seen taking pictures with their families and reminiscing on their last season. “The season has been going good, we just got 1st place at the Kern County Invite,” said senior Marcos Jimenez. Marcos also stated that he enjoys wrestling because he's been doing it since his junior year. One of our lady Spartans described her season: “It’s been pretty good!” quoted Jadeylnn Rodriguez. Regardless of how the season ends, Jadeylnn told us that she enjoys wrestling because it's the highlight of her life. After an intense 2-3 hours, the seniors took the win against East Bakersfield High.
