Varsity Softball takes a share of League Title

Please congratulate the Varsity softball team if you see them around campus or in class. They secured a share of the league championship! The girls have worked hard all year and finished the regular season with a 21-6 record. They outscored league opponents by a combined score of 136 runs while only allowing 26 runs. The team is now getting ready for playoffs and ready to compete.


Here are a few quick shout-outs:
•    Aniyah Gordon currently leads the state in home runs with 18 and RBI’s with 83.
•    Sienna Lopez is currently top 10 in the section in pitching ERA and is the current South High career strikeout leader with 315 K’s.
•    Team captain Jaslyn Chavez provided outstanding leadership throughout the season.
•    Zowey Estrada caught every inning of league play for a total of 47 innings behind the plate.
•    Payton Eades was extremely consistent at the plate all season.
•    Senior outfielder Esmeralda Aldana had an amazing year as our starting center fielder.
