Rebels win two PEAAK Awards

Congratulations to the Rebel Theater Group and South High Swim team for their big wins at the 7th annual PEAAK Awards.
This years ceremony was the biggest ever and honored many students and groups from around the district.  The PEAAK awards have taken the place of many old school awards given throughout the sixties and seventies to outstanding athletes from around Kern County.  The PEAAK awards have even expanded beyond athletics to now include outstanding achievement in the areas of activities and community service.  They are the highest level of recognition that the district gives.  One might say they are the Heisman/Nobel Prizes of the Kern High District.
